    Hey y'all from Chicagoland

I'm Trix and I am a Michigan native now living in the western suburbs of Chicago.  I've been a fan of Old 97's for over 10 years, have seen them live four times (or is it five?) and would have seen them more had geography not interfered (the guys don't play in Michigan very often, dang it!).  I'm happy to be here on this board and would love to talk to any other fans in Chicagoland.

    Thx!

    Hi there,

I'm also in the Chicago area (just outside of the northwestern 'burbs) and have yet to find other fans out here that I didn't help create. ; )

It's nice to see someone local for a change... stick around. Hopefully this board will do better than the last

I'm in the western burbs of Chicago too.  Looking forward to the Chicago and St. Louis shows next month.  Will be heading up to Summerfest as well.

Hi!  As you can see from my chosen sign-on, I'm from Chicago!  And my husband & I go to every Old 97's show (or Rhett's shows) that come to town and have been doing so for years.

    Hey Trix...all.

Originally from Missouri, recent transplant to the West Burbs of Chicago.  Been an Old 97's fan since 2002.  My schedule is packed this summer and I'm actually missing the local shows but I do plan on heading up to Oshkosh, WI for the June 26th show.  Thank goodness they added that tour date, I was afraid I would miss them entirely this year!

    Hello!

I live in the SW Burbs and have been a fan since XRT started playing the 97's but have really become a diehard in the last year.  I'm looking forward to the Summerfest show.

I didn't realize XRT played 'em, aside from "New Kid" when it first came out.  What songs have they been playin? I've barely listened since moving back.

I rarely listen to XRT/terrestrial radio since subscribing to Sirius so I don't know if they are playing tracks from BIOG.  However, XRT was an early supporter of the band back when they were on Bloodshot.  I think Rhett mentioned in an interview that the first time the band heard Nineteen on the radio was on XRT.

I am also in the Western suburbs and have been a fan since the Taste of Chicago on the 4th of July this year.  They were fantastic and I am now hooked!!  I actually went to the Taste to see another band but am so glad that I got there early.  I am now a huge fan!

Thanks for the tip.  Have you seen Murry's solo stuff before?

Hello. No, I've never seen Murry perform solo before. However, his new album is excellent so I am really looking forward to it.
